Catherine Chavis
Patient Coordinator
Patient Coordinator Catherine Chavis knew early on that she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry. In high school, she joined the Health Occupations Students of America, an organization for aspiring health professionals, and competed successfully at the county, state, and national levels. After graduation, she trained as a Dental Assistant and has now been in the dental field for over 23 years. In 2012, Catherine joined the Sandhills Oral Surgery & Implant Dentistry team as a Patient Coordinator.
Catherine’s background in both the clinical and clerical aspects of dentistry gives her a deeper understanding of the hard work that goes into making every patient’s experience a positive one. It makes her proud to be part of such a talented, caring team whenever she sees a patient pleased with their transformation after a cosmetic procedure or hears a patient’s relief when a painful situation is alleviated.
When Catherine isn’t with her Sandhills family, she loves to spend time with her husband, Danny (a Navy vet and now a firefighter) and their three children. She is an animal lover at heart and is lucky to live in Lumberton with enough space to share with a coterie of family pets that includes three dogs, a cat, two turtles, and two guinea pigs! Catherine loves to craft, garden, relax on a beach, and search out new places to enjoy a good meal. She is originally from Homestead, Florida.
